I am thrilled to be teaching fifth grade at Kid Street. As a teacher, I am passionate about creating an engaging and interactive learning environment for my students. I love to bring Math to life by using hands-on activities and manipulatives, and I am always looking for new and exciting ways to help my students understand and appreciate the subject.

 

I am also deeply passionate about books and reading. I believe that reading is the key to opening up a world of possibilities for my students, and I love to encourage them to explore new worlds and ideas through the pages of a good book. We will be reading a wide variety of books that span many different periods of time, geography, and points of view.

History is another subject that I find fascinating, and I am dedicated to making it relatable and interesting for my students through field trips and exploring unique perspectives of the past. By using primary sources and artifacts, I aim to help my students connect with the past and understand how it has shaped the world we live in today.

 

Finally, I love to play around with Science and explore the wonders of the natural world with my students. We participate in Land Path's In Our Own Backyard (IOOBY) program throughout the year to foster stewardship for the land and learn about the local flora and fauna of Sonoma County. Whether we're doing experiments or simply observing the world around us, I believe that Science is a subject that can spark curiosity and wonder in all of us.

 

I am truly excited to be teaching fifth grade at Kid Street, and I am looking forward to getting to know my students even better to help them achieve their full potential this year!
