| A Few Words From the
Graduates
When I leave this school, one of the things I will remember
is the six wonderful years I’ve spent here. All of the
volunteers and friends I’ve met will stay in my heart
forever. I remember lots of great field trips and my brother’s
graduation. This school gives help with problems that other
schools wouldn’t even offer to help with.
When I leave I will remember all of the little kids and how
almost everyday I would receive a letter from one of them.
When I leave I will come back to visit and volunteer.
Kid Street has made me a more happy and confident person.
They believe that I can do anything if I really want to, and
if I try hard enough.
I will definitely remember circle time. Circle time has helped
me achieve my goals. Most of all, I will remember all of the
people here that love me.

Kid Street is different from other schools because it is
so helpful with personal problems. Circle time is a place
that people express their problems and get help. I like the
nature trips and the plays. I have learned that telling the
truth is important.
This school will help me in my future by giving me the education
I need. Kid Street has made a difference in my life by helping
me with things that no other school will. I even got help
with clothes. For all these things I thank my principal, Linda,
Vicki, Kathleen, Christina, Janene, Aimee, and Jade for everything
they have done to help me. Thank you!!!!

When I graduate, I’ll remember why this school is better
than other schools. This school is better because we get help
with our problems at home or anywhere. It’s okay to
share your feelings and they care. This makes a difference
in my life because I didn’t have to worry about people
teasing or bullying me here.
Kid Street has been very generous to my family. They took
me to go school clothes shopping. We also get free lunch.
Some life skills I am working on is not tattle-tailing because
it’s another way to lose friends. I have many good friends
here. They are Ellie, Samantha, Cheyenne, Shelbi, Lexie, Serena,
and Angie. I want to thank Jade for cooking, Vicki for being
a good teacher, Linda for being a good principal, and Christina
for being a good person. I will miss this school a lot!

The first year I came here I was really shy and then made
friends. I felt really good here and nobody was mean to me
or anyone. I started to like it here more every year.
Kid Street is a good place besides the homework. The fun
things I did here were when we did plays and field trips.
I like when we went to the Sonoma County Fair, the Exploratorium,
Tex Wasabi’s, and to court to learn. We once went to
a Youth Hostel and spent the night there. Field trips are
really fun. So is Kid Street.
I like Vicki, Kathleen, Jennifer, Christina, Jade, Gerry,
Linda and everyone here. I’m going to miss everyone.
I’ll still visit here and maybe volunteer, too. This
school is better than any other school I have been to. I will
remember Kid Street and everyone here. I hope you’ll
remember me too.

These are a few of my memories at one of my favorite schools,
Kid Street. I loved participating in our Open House businesses.
Even though I’ve dealt with real businesses of my own,
this allowed my mind to open to my future dream wish of becoming
a massage therapist. I also enjoyed getting drafted as one
of the militia members on our Fort Ross field trip. (Don’t
worry, I didn’t really get drafted. I signed up so I
could hold the sword and light the cannon.)
I haven’t exactly been here quite as long as most of
the people in this room, but I’ve been here long enough
to realize this is a great place, another home to me where
I can go if there’s any trouble at my other house. I
think I belong here which makes it hard to leave this wonderful
place and its fantastic creator, Linda, who was like a second
mother to me. I’m going to miss her a lot. She will
always have a space somewhere in my heart. I’m leaving
behind so many of my friends and memories, but I wish you
all a great fulfilling successful life, and I wish to tell
you to cherish every grand moment that passes by and keep
it forever more because all that matters is right now, so
don’t look back, and stay in the moment.
I would like to compliment those who saw me through these
last two crazy, yet somehow educationally fun years.
Domenic: One of my best friends here. You are so kind, simply
hilarious, and very smart.
Angie: You are also a great friend of mind. You are funny
at times and very kind.
Marion: You’re the funniest in the school and I believe
if you reach high for your goals that you will fulfill them.
Jade: You are a great cook and a great friend. I think if
you wish to seek a job at cooking that you will have no problem
at all finding and achieving it.
Vicki: You’re the kindest, greatest teacher I’ve
ever known (and I’ve known thousands.)
Linda: All I can say is please keep this place open. The world
needs it and they need you too.
Christina: You are a very good leader and I think you should
run for the first woman president and bring justice and fair,
reasonable laws to this great country.

The first thing I would like to
say is I am going to miss Kid Street so much. At Kid Street
you’re always treated like family, and I know I am going
to miss that kind of environment. One of the most important
things I have to say is Kid Street is one of the best schools
in the world, without a doubt. All of the staff here at Kid
Street are the most caring people you’ll ever meet!
Even though I only went here for one year, I have a few memories
that I would like to share with you now.
One of my favorite memories was
when we had our talent show, which was very special and exciting
as well. I also liked it when we took a field trip to Fairfield
Osbourne Preserve, and one of the best parts of that trip
was eating lunch on top of the hill while watching the spectacular
view. Another memory was when I first came to Kid Street and
how kind everyone was. These are only a few memories that
I have, but I’ll treasure them forever.
I am hoping that everyone will
remember me at Kid Street. One thing that I really liked about
Kid Street was that you could express your feelings easily
without being criticized. Also, I just want all the staff
to know that I appreciated everything they did for me, and
that I’ll remember all of you fondly. So now that I
am heading off to junior high, and I have mixed feelings of
excitement and fear, I must go on with my journey.
Good-bye, Kid Street

This school is probably one of
the most important places in my life. I am so glad that my
parents decided to put me in this school. When I first heard
that I was going here, I did not want to go. That would be
the first time I had been in a real school in 5 years. I was
home schooled with my Grandma. Now I’m mad I didn’t
start here earlier. I’m glad I found out about this
school or else my life would be way different.
In 2005, when my life got turned
upside down, this school and the staff were some of the first
ones there (besides family …wait..this school is part
of my family). They helped us in all the ways possible. The
things that Kid Street has done for me are almost uncountable.
That crisis is almost over now, thanks to the people at this
school.
This school has helped me develop
many life skills. My curiosity has definitely grown while
I’ve been here. I also think that my responsibility
has gotten bigger. My art skills, to me, have increased. I
have also developed a knack for writing, thanks to my teacher,
Vicki. Circle time has given me confidence in life and I get
all of my feelings out in a safe environment.
Now that my time at Kid Street
comes to an end, I would like to thank Linda and all the staff
here for all they have done. The kids here are great. I’m
thanking all the kids here for all they’ve done for
me too.
